Lauren Jacobsen-Bridges

Ms. Jacobsen-Bridges is the Director of International Student & Scholar Services at the University of North Texas. The department provides immigration services for international students, visiting scholars, faculty and staff on the Denton campus and throughout the entire UNT System. The University of North Texas in Denton, TX welcomes over 3,000 international students and scholars each year.

Lauren is a native Texan and has spent most of her life in the Dallas area.  She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Masters of Arts in International Studies in 2016. Lauren has been in the field of international higher education since 2010 and currently serves as the Past-Chair of the NAFSA Region III Team.  She strongly believes that international higher education develops lasting impressions on the campus community and advocates for a better cross-cultural understanding across the globe.  She enjoys learning new languages and has studied Arabic, French, and Spanish.
